Hubungan Kadar Asam Urat Dengan Tekanan Darah Pada Ibu Dan Lansia Di Posyandu Guyup Rukun Kelurahan Penanggungan Malang

ABSTRACT Keywords: gout, blood pressure Uric acid acts as both oxidative and destructive. Increased uric acid in the form of hyperuricemia plays an important role in the inflammatory process so that it can cause an increase in blood pressure. This study aims to determine the relationship of blood uric acid levels with blood pressure in mothers and the elderly in Posyandu Guyup Rukun Penanggungan Malang. This is a correlative analytic study using a cross-sectional approach on a sample of 25 people using purposive sampling. Retrieval of data using examination of uric acid and blood pressure then analyzed using SPSS chi square test results (p = 0.034) The results showed that almost all respondents had hyperuricemia, and almost all had hypertension. There is a significant relationship in the relationship of gout with blood pressure in mothers and the elderly in Posyandu Guyup in the Malang Penanggungan. The next research recommendation is to examine the factors of food intake and fluid consumption
