Recommendation System for Library using Hybrid with Pearson’s Correlation and Slope One Algorithm

Recommender System generates meaningfulrecommendations to users for items or productsthat might be interesting for them. It can helppeople to find interesting things and is widely usedwith the development of electronic commerce. Inthis paper, a hybrid collaborative filteringrecommender is implemented the recommendersystem for library. In a university library, readersfind it very difficult to search their favouritebooks. Even though they could possibly find thebest preferred book by the user, searching anothersimilar book to the first preferred book is difficult.So recommender system is required in a library.Pearson’s Correlation in Collaborative Filteringis used to find the similarity between the users andthe active user. The Slope One algorithm is usedto calculate the average difference in ratingamong pair of items. This system providessuggestions to the students in order to give theratings on books which is related to their needs ortargets. The readers can easily find the relevantbooks that they actually want or need
