A Study of Information Retrieval by Lovins Stemmer and Pattern Matching Approach

Nowadays, the World Wide Web technology isdeveloped and it is a very large, distributed digitalinformation collection and information contents inweb is implemented by the different format such asHTML, XML etc. The role of information retrievalover the Web is important because web search userscan make the best decision into their society if theyget precise information from the Web. But as aresult of huge amount of information over the Weband its growth rate, it is difficult for web search userto extract useful information. Field of informationretrieval (IR) is born and several IR systems areused on everyday by a wide variety of users. Thispaper takes the advantages of IR and Brute Forcepattern matching algorithm in the development ofWeb Document Retrieval System. This paper firstlydescribes how to pass the text preprocessing stepsfor web documents. Secondly, indexing techniquefor this system is described.
