Web Document Clustering using Genetic Algorithm Based Fuzzy Clustering

Clustering is a typical unsupervisedlearning technique for grouping similar datapoints. In hard clustering, data is divided intodistinct clusters, where each data element belongsto exactly one cluster. In fuzzy clustering (alsoreferred to as soft clustering), data elements canbelong to more than one cluster, and associatedwith each element is a set of membership levels.Fuzzy clustering algorithm can be optimized bygenetic algorithms, which are popularevolutionary algorithm and can be used to searchfor large search space.This paper used geneticalgorithm based fuzzy clustering for news webpage clustering. Web documents are preprocessedand features are selected from the web pagecontent, and they are clustered by the geneticalgorithm based fuzzy clustering algorithm.Theexperimental result with various features ispresented
