Lead exposure causes oxidative stress which is one of the key mechanisms associated with impairment of the various body functions in the battery workers as occupational risks. The aim of the present study was to determine and compare the blood lead level (BLL), plasma malondialdehyde (MDA) level and plasma vitamin C level between the non-exposed subjects and lead-exposed battery workers, and to find out the relationship among these three parameters in the lead-exposed male battery workers.
