Lierary Critical Perceptives from Poetry Criticism Articles of Shumawa Magazine

This paper reflects about the literary criticisms from poetry criticisms of Shumawa Magazine. The purpose of this paper is to investigate the criticism techniques of the literary critics from those articles. The structure of the paper is 1. A brief history of Shumawa Magazine, 2. Literature review about literary criticism, 3. Literary criticism of the criticis from Shumawa Magazine’s poetry criticism articles. In this regard, the subject of this paper is the articles from Shumawa Magazinwe (1971- 1972) The conceptual and theoretical framework of this paper were a based on literary critical technique of U Pe Maug Tin and Zaw Zaw Aung. As a consequence, this study describes the perceptions and techniques of the critics from Shumawa magazine. The study provides a comprehensive information about literary criticism and an implication for a deeper understanding and appreciating of Myanmar literature
