Secure Virtual Machine Migration in Xen Hypervisor

Nowadays, virtualization technologiesbecome increasingly popular in enterprise andorganizational networks: such as data center. Inorder to facilitate fault management, highavailability,load balancing and low-level systemmaintenance, live migration functionality ofvirtual machine (VM) is very essential. Bycarrying out the migration process, there aremany research challenges. However, we onlyfocus on security issue. There are differentvulnerabilities, security threats and variousprevention strategies. In this paper, the attackswhich occur in live migration are firstlydescribed. A secure VM migration frameworkusing enhanced IPSec security strategy based ondynamic pre-shared key is proposed to preventdenial of service attack and man-in-the-middleattack. We design it on Citrix Xen open-sourcehypervisor. To evaluate how much secure inmigration, state-of-the-art implementation is aspart of future work
