Ferrite samples oj the chemical composition Mgo. 9Mno.JFe20 lVere prepared by standard solid state sintering techniqu e. Wet milling for 6 h was employed to get better homogenity. The raw fe rrites were sintered at 10500 efor 24 h using a heating 'rate oj2"C/min. The sintered samples were studied by means oj X-ray diffraction, particle size analysis and Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESElvf). Density and porosity measurements were done by Archemede 's method. The microstructure l Jl ere rather porous. X-Ray diffractio n analysis confi rmed a single phase cubic structure.
