The present research work emphasized on the preparation of natural dye (concentrated solution) from Noni root (Morinda citrifolia L.). The physico-chemical properties such as moisture content, ash content, total solids content and pH of Noni root were determined by Association of Official Analytical Chemists (AOAC) method. The chemical compounds present in Noni root were investigated by phytochemical tests. Natural dye was extracted from chopped Noni root with pure water at 70ºC for 120 minutes. The physico-chemical properties of extracted natural dye were also determined by AOAC method.
