In the studies on the antifungal agent applicable for the Specific Treatment for Mycosis, antifungal agent was isolated from Solanum indicum Linn. using with four kinds of solvents such as methanol, ethanol, acetone, and water. In this study, methanol extract showed highly antifungal activity. The methanolic extract was purified by Silica gel column chromatography, and C18 gel column chromatography. In the isolation and purification of antifungal agent from the; leaves of Solanum indicum Linn., 26 mg pure compound was isolated from 40 g of fresh leaves. This antifungal agent potently inhibited the growth of Dermatophytes (mycosis disease) with MIC of 1.2 µg/ml, comparable to that of nystatin
