This dissertation is an attempt to answer the question: Why Cross-cultural understanding is important not only to establish peace and harmony in society but to assimilate new perspectives and ideas for the all-round development of a given society?1 The research finding is to show that one of the basic factors to establish peace and harmony is to acknowledge the fact of multiculturalism and the need for cross-cultural understanding by putting forward arguments based on theoretical as well as historical grounds.2 The research method which will be used, are the descriptive and evaluative methods.3 The research principle is the principle of unity in diversity.4 This dissertation will try to clarify and identify through cross-cultural understand...
