Globalisasi Budaya Makanan Korea Selatan Melalui Reality Show

This research discusses the globalization process of South Korean food culture through the television media Reality Show. South Korea since the 2000s has been viral throughout the world because of the Hallyu or Korean Wave with the Reality Show as one of its products. According to the South Korea Statistical Data Center, Reality Show that broadcasts South Korean food culture is actively consumed by the global community. Based on this phenomenon, the author wants to analyze the globalization of South Korean food culture can be done through electronic media and the internet, such as reality shows. There are 18 most popular food cultures according to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Culture, Sports, Tourism South Korea and 7 Reality Shows with 5 classifications discussed in this study. The concept used in this study is Cultural Globalization with qualitative descriptive research methods. The concept of Cultural Globalization is able to explain that the world nowadays has been away from imperialism with the proof of the spreading culture to the global community. The author uses literature study as data collecting techniques. The results of this study stated that South Korean food culture has been successfully spread and is very well received by the global community because of its high access to Reality Show via online streaming sites. High access has led to increased interest in the global community for South Korean food culture so that it becomes a global culture
