Die Untersuchung der sauren Hydrolyse von Cellulose (CL) und Cellobiose (CB) in Mischungen aus [BMIM]Cl/DMSO zeigte, dass die Reaktionsrate mit der Konzentration der ionischen Flüssigkeit (IL) steigt. Durch die Untersuchungen konnten die Triebkräfte für diesen Effekt aufgeklärt werden. Außerdem wurde der Einfluss von anorganischen Salzen auf die saure Hydrolyse von CB Untersucht, wodurch das Verständnis der Rolle dieser in der Hydrolyse von wässrigen CL Schlämmen verbessert wurde.
