In this essay, the author reflects on teaching a social studies methods course during the COVID 19 pandemic focusing on our responsibility to one another and profound connection to each other in our shared world. Teaching, as always, has surprises of joy and connection as we explore who we are as individuals and global citizens in a changed world as we continue to advocate for social justice and equity
