SISTEMATIZACIÓN TEÓRICA DE LAS COMPETENCIAS DE DIRECCIÓN EN EL PROCESO PEDAGÓGICO

The school management is a basic pillar in the organization chart of the school and this in turn reveals the importance of the work done by the main managers in the smooth running of a school and even its impact on the school results obtained. Therefore, this process must assume the responsibility of a complex organization, capable of learning, satisfying the expectations and demands of society, with the aim of guaranteeing continuous improvement and providing a quality educational service. The study of the behaviour of the management competence in a particular way in the main administrators, showed the existence of different limitations in the functioning of the management process, originated by the lack of correspondence between the administrative and pedagogical logics inherent to it. The analysis carried out goes into the search for school management competence linked to capacity and activity. The competence that we are looking for is necessary in order to provide solutions to the concrete actions and real demands of the current management function. These are not directly observed, since they are shown by analyzing different tasks of school management nowadays. The present work is part of the research project from the University of Las Tunas in order to improve the management skills of the administrators in the “Luis Urquiza Jorge” Vocational Institute of Exact Sciences (IPVCE – acronym in Spanish) of Las Tunas.La dirección escolar es un pilar básico en el organigrama del centro educativo y esta a su vez revela la importancia de la labor realizada por los principales directivos en la buena marcha de un centro e incluso su repercusión en los resultados escolares obtenidos. Por tanto, este proceso debe asumir la responsabilidad de una organización compleja, capaz de aprender, satisfacer expectativas y demandas de la sociedad, con el objetivo de garantizar la mejora continua y prestar un servicio educativo de calidad. El estudio del comportamiento de la competencia de dirección de manera particular en los principales directivos, evidenció la existencia de diferentes limitaciones en el funcionamiento del proceso de dirección, originadas por la falta de correspondencia entre las lógicas directiva y pedagógica inherente al mismo. El análisis realizado se adentra en la búsqueda de la competencia de la dirección escolar vinculadas a capacidad y actividad. La competencia que buscamos se hace necesaria para dar solución a las actuaciones concretas y demandas reales de la función directiva actual. Éstas no se observan directamente, pues se manifiestan analizando diferentes tareas de la dirección escolar en nuestros días. El presente trabajo forma parte del proyecto de investigación Competencias de Dirección en Educación de la Universidad de Las Tunas y su intención está dirigida a proponer una estrategia de superación en función de las competencias de dirección para los directivos del IPVCE ¨Luis Urquiza Jorge¨
