DISEÑO ESTRATÉGICO PARA LA MEJORA DEL PROCESO DE GESTIÓN DE EXTENSIÓN UNIVERSITARIA

The university extension as essential function of the university is sustained in its relationships with the internal and external community, contributing to its transformation and to improve the quality of its members' life. In spite of the advances in the process of university administration in the Cuban context, it is even required of perfecting the same one reason why it is pertinent to continue investigating in this important process so that forms and more and more effective procedures are achieved in their continuous improvement. The present work is based on the accumulated experiences in the intent of proposing alternatives to lead the administration of the university extension efficiently; it is for it that a procedure is presented to elaborate a strategy for the invigoration university extension, like part of fomenting a wider cultural system. This way will be able to put on to the institution to the service of the community from inside it but also using the approaches that the university institutions are to the service of the economic, social and cultural development of the society in which is unwrapped.  La extensión universitaria como función esencial de la universidad, se sustenta en sus relaciones con la comunidad intra y extrauniversitaria, contribuyendo a su transformación y a mejorar la calidad de vida de sus integrantes. A pesar de los avances en el proceso de gestión universitaria en el contexto cubano, aun se requiere de perfeccionar el mismo por lo cual es pertinente continuar investigando en este importante proceso de manera que se adquieran formas y procedimientos cada vez más eficaces en su mejora continua. El presente trabajo parte de las experiencias acumuladas en el intento de proponer alternativas para gestionar eficazmente la gestión de la extensión universitaria, es por ello que se presenta un procedimiento para elaborar una estrategia para el fortalecimiento extensionista, como parte de fomentar un sistema cultural más amplio. De esta manera se podrá poner a la institución al servicio de la comunidad no solo desde dentro de ella sino también empleando los criterios de que las instituciones universitarias están al servicio del desarrollo económico, social y cultural de la sociedad en la cual se desenvuelve
