EVOLUCIÓN DE LA ORIENTACIÓN PROFESIONAL PEDAGÓGICA EN LA FORMACIÓN INICIAL DEL PROFESOR DE INGLÉS EN CUBA

Cuban society today requires English teachers to be educators, to love their profession, to master the language, to be bearers of a culture enriched with the cultural elements of the countries that speak the language, and to have a high sense of individual and social responsibility to guarantee the teaching. To achieve this, professional pedagogical orientation must promote actions that lead to a quality education, with full awareness of the way of acting and the needs of the profession resolved. Thus, the accumulated experience must be taken into account, as well as the needs and perspectives of Cuban socio-economic and cultural development. This article contains a contextual historical study of the professional orientation in the Didactics of Foreign Languages pedagogical process, according to the context of the initial formation of English teachers in Cuba. In this research, it contributed to identify and understand the causes of current insufficiencies, in order to retake the successes, to avoid repeating the mistakes and to project new actions to regulate the future. The regularities and tendencies described lead to deepen the understanding of the current state of the problem, its causes and future evolution. This allows to justify the need of changes for its solution and the social significance of future results to be achieved.La sociedad cubana exige, en la actualidad, profesores de inglés que sean educadores, que amen su profesión, dominen el idioma, sean portadores de una cultura enriquecida con los elementos culturales de los países que hablan esa lengua y tengan un alto sentido de responsabilidad individual y social para garantizar la enseñanza. Para lograrlo, la orientación profesional pedagógica debe promover acciones que propicien un egreso con calidad, con plena conciencia del modo de actuación y de las necesidades de la profesión resueltas. Así es que se debe tener en cuenta la experiencia acumulada, así como las necesidades y perspectivas del desarrollo socio-económico y cultural cubano. Este artículo contiene un estudio histórico contextual de la orientación profesional en el proceso pedagógico de la Didáctica de las Lenguas Extranjeras, en función del contexto escolar de la formación inicial del profesor de inglés en Cuba. En esta investigación contribuyó a identificar y comprender las causas de las insuficiencias actuales, en función de retomar los aciertos, evitar reincidir en los errores y proyectar nuevas acciones para regular el futuro. Las regularidades y tendencias que aquí se describen conducen a profundizar en la comprensión del estado actual del problema, sus causas y futura evolución.
