UN ESTUDIO DE ENFOQUES Y CONCEPTOS DE CULTURA Y SU RELACIÓN CON LA NOCIÓN DE IDENTIDAD

In Cuba the development of culture was favored and promoted the revolutionary triumph of 1959, which promoted progress in different periods of intellectual and artistic life; for example, the National Literacy Campaign, the creation of educational and cultural institutions throughout the country and the combination of universal knowledge with the appreciation of the heritage of the nation. Promoting culture means that the masses become the active subject and while the recipient of cultural development. It involves the implementation of a system type media culture designed to promote active and spontaneous participation of the population in developing, rescue and affirmation of national culture in its broadest sense, including therefore all spheres of social life and especially the recognition of cultural heritage and artistic and literary values. In the article a study of approaches and concepts of culture and its relationship with the notion of identity is performed.En Cuba el desarrollo de la cultura se vio favorecido y promovido con el triunfo revolucionario de 1959, que promovió el progreso en distintos períodos de la vida intelectual y artística; por ejemplo, la Campaña Nacional de Alfabetización, la creación de instituciones educacionales y culturales a lo largo del país y la combinación del conocimiento universal con la revalorización del patrimonio de la nación. Promover la cultura significa que las masas se conviertan en el sujeto activo y a la vez en el destinatario del desarrollo cultural. Consiste en la puesta en ejecución de un sistema de medios de tipo cultural tendientes a fomentar la participación activa y espontánea de la población en el desarrollo, rescate y reafirmación de la cultura nacional, en su más amplia acepción, incluyendo por ende todas las esferas de la vida social y especialmente, el reconocimiento del patrimonio cultural y los valores artísticos y literarios.
