ESBOZO HISTÓRICO DEL PROCESO DE FORMACIÓN CIUDADANA EN UNIVERSIDADES CUBANAS

The paper reveals the main tendencies in the process of the university students' civic formation, taking into consideration the impact of the transcendent sociopolitical processes in the theoretical conception and dynamics of the educational practice of the civic formation from the university - society interaction. Significant moments are characterized in the historical development of this process and its non-straightness is evidenced, when going through the continuous deepening of the protagonism and transcendence of the sociopolitical reach of the social responsibility of the University as long as the revolutionary process becomes more radical.El artículo revela las principales tendencias en el proceso de formación ciudadana de los estudiantes universitarios, atendiendo al impacto de los procesos sociopolíticos trascendentes en la concepción teórica y dinámica de la práctica educativa de la formación ciudadana desde la interacción universidad – sociedad. Se caracterizan importantes momentos en el devenir histórico de este proceso y se evidencia la no linealidad del mismo, al transitar por la continua profundización del protagonismo y trascendencia del alcance sociopolítico del encargo social de la Universidad en la medida que se radicaliza el proceso revolucionario
