Goos-Hänchen (GH) and Imbert-Fedorov (IF) shifts are well known deviations from Snell’s law. These phenomena have been studied for many different materials, but some of the less researched media are the epsilon-near-zero (ENZ) materials, characterized by a zero in the real part of their dielectric function (refractive index) at a given frequency, known as the plasma frequency of the material. This thesis is going to introduce the theory behind the beam shifts, namely the angular spectrum representation of optical fields and the beam centroid formalism.
