I see my research as supplementing the existing pool of knowledge regarding the overseas student population and extending the basis for current understandings of the International Student Program. In the course of my research, four main images of Asian international students became apparent. I classified these images according to media-ascribed student characteristics: the Asian international student as Casualty, Contributor, Competitor, and Commodity models
