Although aspects of the individual nurse's role vary according to practice location and type, leadership, management, delegation and change are consistent components of the role. Nurses function within health care systems, working with multiple clients and health care providers. As a part of a multidisciplinary team, the nurse is often in a leadership position and frequently delegates aspects of care to others.
