This paper looks at the professional attributes of collaboration and effectiveness as a team member. The paper outlines the assessment process implemented to provide students with both formative and summative assessment of their capacities as an effective team member. As a result of the implementation and evaluation of the assessment initiative proposed changes for its subsequent introduction have been undertaken
