Knowledge sharing practices have evolved from simple document archiving and retrieval, into more complex service-based environments supported by advances in Information Technology. As a result of this trend, market-based mechanisms have been proposed with the objective of fostering knowledge sharing, by setting reward mechanisms and motivate employees to share their know-how at a deeper level. Many of the reward schemes presented in literature consider quality as an attribute that gives value to knowledge, but do not provide details on how to measure it.
