ANALISIS BEBERAPA ALASAN KEBIJAKAN IMPOR BERAS DI DI INDONESIA

Basically the demand for rice in Indonesia is quite large, this is due to the large number of people who reside in Indonesia and in addition it also rice as a staple food everyday Indonesian society. Therefore, the availability of rice in Indonesia is also very large. Scarcity of rice in Indonesia caused stride lands in Indonesia and the high price of fertilizer. It also still rely solely on the Java island in Indonesia supplier of rice needs, therefore requiring the government to import rice so that the rice will need to be fulfilled. In this study, the data used are secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the Surabaya branch of the Office of Industry and Trade (Industry and Trade) Surabaya branch taken over a period of 10 years starting from the year 2003 to 2012.
