Bu çalışmada, Türkiye ve farklı ülkelerden toplanmış, 173 adet Phaseolus vulgaris genotipleri arasındaki genetik çeşitliliğin ve popülasyon yapısının Genotyping by Sequencing (GBS) metodu ile belirlenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu çalışma ile ilk kez fasulyede GBS metodu kullanılmıştır. GBS metodu ile fasulye genomunda bulunan Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) markırları saptanmıştır. GBS analizi sonucunda 1500 SNP elde edilmiştir. Markırların ortalama PIC değeri 0,2 olarak tespit edilmiştir. SNP markırları kullanılarak STRUCTURE programında popülasyon yapısı belirlenmiştir ve 173 genotip kendi arasında 3 guruba (K=3) ayrılmıştır.
