Diyabet, her yıl giderek artan bir prevalans ile dünyadaki en önemli sağlık problemlerinden biridir. Diyabetik yara iyileşme sürecinde görülen problemler, ağır olgularda ampütasyonlar ile sonlanabilen komplikasyonlara yol açar. Adipoz doku, otolog mezenkimal kök hücreler (MKH) için zengin bir kaynaktır. Bu hücrelerin terapötik uygulamalarda kullanımı ise diyabetik hastaların etkili tedavisi için büyük potansiyel taşımaktadır. Sıçan adipoz dokusunu eksize ettiğimiz, MKH'i izole edip kültüre ettiğimiz ve daha sonra keratinositlere farklılaştırdığımız bu çalışmada, adipoz dokuyu MKH kaynağı olarak kullandık.
