Bu çalışmada, geleneksel ortopedik implant malzemelerine alternatif olarak Ti–34Nb–25Zr, Ti–30Nb–32Zr, Ti–28Nb–35,4Zr ve Ti–24,8Nb–40,7Zr (ağ.%) nominal kompozisyona sahip, yüksek mekanik performans sergileyen yeni Ti-Nb-Zr (TNZ) alaşımları geliştirilmiştir. TNZ alaşımlarının mikroyapıları, mekanik özellikleri (çekme dayanımı, akma dayanımı, basma-akma dayanımı, elastisite modülü, elastik enerji, tokluk, esneklik katsayısı ve mikro-sertlik) ve sitokompatibiliteleri birbirleri ile kıyaslamalı olarak incelenmiştir. TNZ alaşımları basma testi sırasında kırılmaya uğramamış ve numunelerde herhangi bir çatlak oluşumu meydana gelmemiştir.
