Yapılan bu tez çalışmasında, TS 825 Binalarda Isı Yalıtım Kuralları standardına göre 1. ve 2. gün derece bölgelerinde, dış cephe duvarlarının ısı yalıtım şartlarını tek başına karşılayabilen hafifletilmiş tuğla bloğu geliştirilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Günümüzde binaların cephelerinde kullanılan ısı yalıtım malzemeleri genellikle ithal edildikleri için, ülkemizin ekonomisi olumsuz yönde etkilenmektedir. Geleneksel, ekonomik ve doğal bir yapı malzemesi olan tuğlanın termal özelliklerinin iyileştirilmesi ve sektörde kullanımının arttırılması hedeflenmiştir.
