Yüksek sıcaklık ve yüksek devirde çalışan türbin kanatlarının doğal frekansları yüksüz durumdaki kanat doğal frekanslarına göre farklılık gösterir. Türbin kanadındaki yüksek sıcaklık malzeme özelliklerine doğrudan etki etmektedir. Ayrıca türbinin rotasyon hızından kaynaklanan merkezkaç kuvvetler kanatta çeki gerilmesi oluştururken, akışkan basıncı kanat üzerinde eğilme gerilmesine sebep olmaktadır. Çeki gerilmesi ve eğilme gerilmesine maruz kalan türbin kanadı üzerinde deformasyon oluşmaktadır. Bu deformasyonlar ve malzemenin sıcaklığa bağlı davranışı, kanat doğal frekanslarında değişikliğe neden olur.
