The Common Leadership Styles of Public High Schools Principals in Jordan from the Teachers Perspectives

The study aimed at identifying the common leadership styles of public high school principals in Jordan from teachers\u27 perspectives. The researchers used the descriptive survey method with a study sample that consisted of (1621) teachers from both genders chosen randomly from the study society. In order to collect the study data, a questionnaire was used that included three fields and contained thirty-three paragraphs. The results of the study indicated that the democratic pattern is prevalent to high degree among high school principals while the chaotic and authoritarian styles scored medium averages. The results of the study indicated also that there were statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α = 0.05) and less in the teachers perspectives of democratic and chaotic style of the prevailing leadership styles of high school principals attributed to gender in favor of females in the democratic pattern. Besides, there were no statistically significant differences at the level of statistical significance (α =0.05) in the teachers\u27 views of the leadership styles of the public secondary schools directors represented in authoritarian, democratic, and chaotic patterns due to scientific qualifications
