To date, which of Nanchung-inactive and no mechanoreceptor potential C channels are transient receptor potential channels (TRP) in chordotonal sensory cilia is still not clear. Our theory explains previous experimental findings, including non-linear gating compliance and spontaneous oscillation of the antenna.
