Nasopharyngeal colonization in children attending daycare units has an important effect on the spread of S. pneumoniae. In this study, we aimed to investigate colonization status, antimicrobial susceptibility, and clonal relatedness of the S. pneumoniae strains in children attending a daycare unit.
