Investigation of Qualitative Research Methods in The Context of Health Services

Nitel araştırma yöntemleri gerçek hayatta karşılaşılan olayları, sorunları sayısal verileredayalı olarak değil, yorumlara dayalı olarak açıklamaya çalışan yöntemlere verilen genelbir isimdir. Nitel araştırmaların uygulanmasında kendine özgü takip edilecek aşamalar bulunmaktadır.Bu nedenle nitel araştırmalarda uygulanacak metodoloji ile nicel araştırmalardauygulanacak olan metodoloji farklılık göstermektedir. Nitel araştırma yöntemleri sosyalbilimlerin çoğu alanında sıklıkla kullanılmakla birlikte son yıllarda sağlık alanında dakullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Özellikle de sağlık hizmeti sunumuyla ilgili karşılaşılan problemlerinanlaşılması ve çözülmesinde nitel araştırmalar sağlık hizmeti sunucularına önemliipuçları sunmaktadır. Ayrıca Sağlık hizmetlerinin kendine has özellikleri göz gönündebulundurulduğunda nitel araştırma yöntemlerinin sağlık hizmetleri alanında kullanılmasıönemli yararlar sağlamaktadır. Buradan hareketle bu çalışmanın amacı nitel araştırmalarave bu araştırmaların uygulanmasına ilişkin bilgiler sunmaktır.Qualitative research methods are a generic name given to methods that tryto explain events in real life based on interpretations, not based on numerical data. Theimplementation of qualitative research has its own specific follow-up stages. For this reason,the methodology to be applied in qualitative research and the methodology to be applied inquantitative research are different. Qualitative research methods have been used frequentlyin many areas of social sciences, but they have also been used in the health field in recentyears. Qualitative research in understanding and resolving the problems associated withhealth service provision in particular offers important clues to health service providers. Inaddition, the use of qualitative research methods in the field of health care provides importantbenefits when specific characteristics of health services are considered.
