Identificación de diatomeas epilíticas asociadas al índice trófico de calidad del agua del río Yanayacu, provincia de Cotopaxi, periodo septiembre 2019 - febrero 2020.

In the present investigation it was possible to identify epilithic diatoms associated with the trophic index of the water quality of the Yanayacu river, Cotopaxi province, where a total of 59 species of epilithic diatoms were identified. Sampling was carried out on each of the points, thus recognizing those with the greatest influence; at point one or also known as the clean point located in the San José neighborhood, the presence of 7 microalgae was found: Gomphonema sp, Gomphonema lagenula, Mayamaea permitis, Nitzschia acidoclinata, Navicula cryptotenella, Planothidium lanceolatum and Planothidium frequentissimum, at the point two or midpoint located in the “San Martín” neighborhood was located 8 microalgae: Gomphonema parvulum, Gomphonema pumilum var. rigidum, Mayamaea permitis, Navicula cryptotenella, Navicula lanceolata, Navicula gregaria, Nitzschia inconspicua, Nitzschia amphibia, and at point three located in the Culture House, more abundantly are: Navicula nota, Navicula gregaria, Navicula lanceolata, Navicula cryptotenella, Navicula cryptotenel Nitzchia palea, Nitzschia inconspicua and Pinnularia sp. To calculate the water quality index in the month of November, 9 physical-chemical and microbiological parameters were used, which were assessed through the IQAData program, where in point 1 it obtained a rating of 42.74 categorized in the range of bad, while for point 2 the rating was 13.76 in the range of extremely bad and in the third point with values of 18.78 within the range of extremely bad. The theoretical Trophic Water Quality Index and tables were subsequently compared; for point 1, the theoretical ITCA obtained a value of 1.61 which compared to the ITCA of the tables is in the range of 1.5 to 2.5, showing a moderate level of β-mesotrophic contamination; at point 2 the theoretical ITCA has a value of 2.78 and compared to the ITCA table it is within the range 2.5-3.5 with a strong level of α-mesotrophic contamination and at point 3 a theoretical ITCA of 3.20 was achieved compared to the ITCA in the table resulted in a strong level of α-mesotrophic contamination as it was identified within the range of 2.5 to 3.5.En la presente investigación se logró identificar diatomeas epilíticas asociadas al índice trófico de calidad del agua del río Yanayacu, provincia de Cotopaxi, donde se identificaron un total de 59 especies de diatomeas epilíticas. Se realizó un muestreo en cada uno de los puntos, reconociendo así las de mayor influencia; en el punto uno o también conocido como punto limpio ubicado en el barrio San José, se encontró la presencia de 7 microalgas: Gomphonema sp, Gomphonema lagenula, Mayamaea permitis, Nitzschia acidoclinata, Navicula cryptotenella, Planothidium lanceolatum y Planothidium frequentissimum, en el punto dos o punto medio ubicado en el barrio San Martín se localizó 8 microalgas: Gomphonema parvulum, Gomphonema pumilum var. rigidum, Mayamaea permitis, Navicula cryptotenella, Navicula lanceolata, Navicula gregaria, Nitzschia inconspicua, Nitzschia amphibia, y en el punto tres ubicado en la Casa de la Cultura, con mayor abundancia están: Navicula nota, Navicula gregaria, Navicula lanceolata, Navicula cryptotenella, Nitzchia palea, Nitzschia inconspicua y Pinnularia sp. Para calcular el índice de calidad de agua en el mes de noviembre, se utilizó 9 parámetros físico-químicos y microbiológicos, los cuáles se valoraron a través del programa IQAData, donde en el punto 1 obtuvo una calificación de 42.74 categorizada en el rango de malo, mientras que para el punto 2 la calificación fue de 13.76 muy malo y en el tercer punto con valores de 18.78 dentro del rango de muy malo, posteriormente se comparó el Índice Trófico de Calidad del Agua teórico y de tablas; para el punto 1 el ITCA teórico obtuvo un valor de 1.61 que comparado con el ITCA de las tablas se encuentra en el rango de 1,5 a 2,5 mostrando un nivel de contaminación moderada β-mesotrófico; en el punto 2 el ITCA teórico tiene un valor de 2.78 y comparado con el ITCA de tabla está dentro del rango 2.5- 3.5 con un nivel de contaminación fuertes α–mesotrófico y en el punto 3 se consiguió un ITCA teórico de 3.20 que comparado con el ITCA de la tabla resulto con nivel de contaminación fuerte α–mesotrófico pues se identificó dentro del rango de 2,5 a 3,5
