The present investigation evaluated natural and commercial insecticides, as control strategies for the possible vector (Bactericera cockerelli) in two potato varieties, in the town of Chavezpamba. Belisario Quevedo, Latacunga, Cotopaxi, in order to identify the most efficient strategy for the control of the possible vector, compare the behavior of the two potato varieties and establish the production costs of the strategies, five treatments with three repetitions were used, where the evaluation indicators were emergency percentage, symptom record of the purple tip of the potato, incidence and severity of the vector, plant height, days of flowering and harvest, number of tubers per plant and yield of t / he has.
