Estudio Etológico de la Polilla del Chocho (lupinus mutabilis) en el laboratorio de la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias y Recursos Naturales en el sector de Salache Bajo, Latacunga, Cotopaxi, 2017.

This research "Ethological study of the moth (Lupinus mutabilis) in the laboratory of the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources in the sector of Salache Bajo, Latacunga Cotopaxi, 2017". The proposed objectives were to determine the life cycle of the plague in the laboratory, observe the habits and behavior of it in the laboratory and correctly identify the specimen of the moth under study. The methodology began with the taking of samples in the larval stage of the chocho crop, at El Chan sector belonging to the Eloy Alfaro Parish, Latacunga Canton. This investigation was descriptive, the observations and data registry was realized daily about the different stages of the metamorphosis of the plague. The results of the egg stage obtained an average length reached, 0.1 mm; average temperature and relative humidity of 18 ° C and 64% respectively, lasting the nine days that the eggs took until they hatched. The larva obtained an average length of 10 mm; average temperature and relative humidity of 19.7 ° C and 60.7% respectively, lasting 34.5 days from the larval stage to pupa. The adult obtained an average length of 10 mm; temperature and average relative humidity of 19 ° C and 56.3% respectively, lasting 15.5 days from the larval stage to pupa. The duration of the ethological cycle of the plague in the laboratory gives an average of 80.2 days, with a maximum range of 86 days and a minimum of 73 days, at an average temperature of 19.7 ° C; maximum and minimum range of 20 ° C and 19 ° C respectively. Relative humidity of 59.1% a maximum range of 60,1%, a minimum of 51,1 %. Once the entomological characteristics were applied, it was determined that it corresponded to the genus Scrobipalpula, order Lepidóptera and the family Gelechiidae and was confirmed with the sample sent to AgrocalidadLa investigación del “Estudio etológico de la polilla de chocho (Lupinus mutabilis) en el laboratorio de la Facultad de Ciencias Agropecuarias y Recursos Naturales en el sector de Salache Bajo, Latacunga Cotopaxi, 2017”, tuvo los siguientes objetivos determinar el ciclo de vida de la plaga en laboratorio, observar los hábitos y comportamiento de la plaga en laboratorio e identificar correctamente el espécimen de la plaga en estudio. La metodología utilizada se inició con la toma de muestras en estado larval del cultivo de chocho, en el sector El Chan perteneciente a la parroquia Eloy Alfaro, cantón Latacunga. Esta investigación fue de tipo descriptivo, realizándose diariamente las observaciones y registro de datos, de los diferentes estadios de la metamorfosis de la plaga. Los resultados del estadio de Huevo se obtuvo una longitud promedio alcanzada de 0,1 mm; temperatura y humedad relativa promedio de 18 °C y 64 % respectivamente durando los 9 días que tardaron los huevos hasta su eclosión. La Larva obtuvo una longitud promedio alcanzada de 10 mm; temperatura y humedad relativa promedio de 19,7 °C y 56,3 % respectivamente durando los 34,5 días del estadio larval a pupa. El Adulto obtuvo una longitud promedio alcanzada de 10 mm; temperatura y humedad relativa promedio de 19 °C y 60,7 % respectivamente durando los 15,5 días del estadio larval a pupa. La duración del ciclo etológico de la plaga en laboratorio, da un promedio de 80,2 días, con rango máximo de 86 días y un mínimo de 73 días, a una temperatura promedio de 19,7 °C ; rango máximo y mínimo de 20 °C y 19 °C respectivamente. Humedad relativa de 59,1 % un rango máximo de 60,1 %, un mínimo de 51,2 %. Aplicando claves entomológicas se determinó que corresponde al género Scrobipalpula, orden Lepidóptera y a la familia Gelechidae y se ratificó con la muestra enviada a Agrocalidad
