Diseño de una Ruta Aviturística en la Hacienda La Virgen, Barrio San Francisco de Mariscal, Parroquia Machachi, Cantón Mejía, Provincia de Pichincha.

The objective of the present investigation was to design a path to avitourism through the elaboration of a diagnosis in which the primary and secondary information were collected; the same ones that resulted in the identification of three ecosystems that are: evergreen mountain forest, evergreen forest, evergreen high mountain forest. It was determined that the study area is suitable to house different types of species, which have different altitudinal scales ranging from 2,200 to 3,700 m.s.n.m. In each of the identified ecosystems, the registration of bird species was done by counting points, linear transects and intensive search, which were recorded by photographs that were used for their subsequent identification, which was carried out through the review of the bird book of Ecuador, and consult ornithological groups. The inventory within the three identified zones resulted in a total of: 44 species, 11 orders, 23 families; the communities are divided into 3 established zones, where the predominant order is the passeriform that has 11 families and 23 species that represent 52.27% of the total wealth, for the calculation of the diversity the Margalef index is applied, with which it was determined that in area one there is a high diversity (Dmg = 4.6), zone two (Dmg = 1.5) and zone three (Dmg = 2.1) are moderately diverse. On the other hand, with the Sorensen index it was determined that zones two and three are the ones with the highest similarity index for habitats and micro-habitats that are similar to the results of the QS = 94.7% similarity between these two study areas. With the results obtained, a avitouristic route was established, which was designed in the ARC GIS software, which has a distance of 7 km., Where three priority zones were established for the design of the route, short technical stations, temporary observatories, adequate signage and hiking for the realization of bird tourism. Finally, it was possible to confirm the avifaunal richness that the Hacienda La Virgen possesses. That is why it is recommended that the design of the avituristic route be complemented with a bird guide and thus facilitate the registration of the species.La presente investigación tuvo por objetivo realizar el diseño de una ruta aviturística mediante la elaboración de un diagnóstico en el que se realizó el levantamiento de información primaria y secundaria; las mismas que dieron como resultado la identificación de tres ecosistemas que son: bosque siempre verde montano, bosque siempre verde, bosque siempre verde montano alto. Se determinó que el área de estudio es apta para albergar diferentes tipos de especies debido a que cuenta con diferentes escalas altitudinales que van desde los 2.200 hasta los 3.700 m.s.n.m. En cada uno de los ecosistemas identificados, se realizó el registro de las especies de aves mediante el conteo por puntos, transectos lineales y búsqueda intensiva, los mismos que fueron registrados mediante fotografías que sirvieron para su posterior identificación, ésta se llevó a cabo mediante la revisión del libro de aves del Ecuador, y consulta a grupos ornitológico. El inventario dentro de las tres zonas identificadas, dio como resultado un total de: 44 especies, 11 órdenes, 23 familias; las cuales están divididas en 3 zonas establecidas, donde el orden predominante es el paseriforme que posee 11 familias y 23 especies representando el 52.27% de la riqueza total, para el cálculo de la diversidad se aplicó el índice de Margalef con el cual se determinó que en la zona uno existe una alta diversidad (Dmg = 4.6), la zona dos (Dmg= 1.5) y la zona tres (Dmg= 2.1) son medianamente diversas. Por otro lado con el índice de Sorensen se determinó que las zona dos y tres son las que tienen mayor índice de similitud por los hábitats y micro hábitats que son similares dando como resultados el QS=94.7% de similitud entre estas dos zonas de estudio. Con los resultados obtenidos se estableció una ruta aviturística que fue diseñado en el software ARC GIS la cual tiene una distancia de recorrido de 7 Km, donde se establecieron tres zonas prioritarias para la realización del diseño de la ruta, esta posee paradas técnicas, observatorios temporales, señalética apropiada y senderismo para la realización del aviturismo. Finalmente se pudo constatar la riqueza avifaunística que posee la Hacienda La Virgen por ello es recomendable que se complemente el diseño de la ruta aviturística con una guía de aves y así facilitar el registro de las especies
