El objetivo del trabajo fue evaluar el efecto del proceso de cultivo de dos cepas nativas de Pleurotus djamor (RN81 y RN82) y una cepa extranjera Pleurotus pulmonarius (RN2) sobre la biodegradación de la paja de arroz, rastrojo de maíz y tuza de maíz en términos de la composición química y degradabilidad ruminal. Estos forrajes fueron manejados siguiendo un procedimiento para la producción comercial de hongos, que incluyó la pasteurización del sustrato a 85°C y por 80 minutos e inoculación con las cepas de hongos, incubación y cosecha, con un tiempo total del proceso de 45 días.
