The current action research project aimed to explore perceptions of Sense of\ud Belonging (SOB) for male young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder\ud (ASD) in two mainstream secondary schools with the aim of facilitating\ud discussions within the school community. SOB is considered to be a central\ud part of successful inclusion.\ud Twelve male pupils aged between 12-14 years and aware of their diagnosis\ud of ASD were interviewed. The young people chose to take part in the\ud research using a range of methodology including photography and an\ud adaptation of the 'Drawing the Ideal Self' technique.
