Refugee children suffer from extreme atrocities and are often neglected or go unheard in refugee situations. Sport is a valuable cost effective tool that when used exclusively or in combination with existing recovery and development programs can aid and address child refugee health development issues. This 6-month internship with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) examined the benefits of sport for refugee children, sport in the United Nations and Sport in the UNHCR.
