The geophysical response of any target is dependent upon the physical properties of the body and the surrounding host rock. The objective of this study is to develop an understanding of the physical properties of the kimberlites and host rocks at the Diavik Diamond Mine. Physical property data were collected at the Diavik Diamond Mine during a Mathematics of Information Technology and Complex Systems (MITACS) internship with Diavik. Data was collected using equipment supplied by Aurora Geosciences Ltd. The physical properties measured include density, resistivity, magnetic susceptibility and remanent magnetization.
