Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) has been associated with dysregulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Research over the past years has investigated potential changes of these alterations in the context of psychotherapy. Yet, no systematic review has been conducted.
