CARACTERIZACION DE MADRES QUE VIVEN CON EL VIRUS VIH/SIDA

This article presents the main characteristics of mothers living with the virus infection of HIV/SIDA and attend to the "Living Hope Women's Association. The research is quantitative, descriptive; information was obtained from a self-administered questionnaire. The results found that, when interacting in organized groups, users are more receptive to their health status to acquire an empowerment that helps them deal with the social environment; on the other hand, socially there, including the health sector, a feeling of rejection people with HIV infection, behavior which is manifested through discrimination. From the study, it is concluded that infection with the HIV virus is related to aspects of gender (patriarchy), then the contagion is strongly determined by the type of sexual behavior in every relationship and the number of sexual partners, and finally in terms of the continuity of life, once it has caught the disease, being a carrier of the virus HIV / AIDS is not a condition that limits the continuation of future projects.El siguiente artículo tiene como objetivo dar a conocer las principales características, de las usuarias madres adscritas a la Asociación de Mujeres Esperanza Viva y que viven con la infección del virus del VIH/SIDA. La investigación realizada es cuantitativa, descriptiva; la información se obtuvo a partir de un cuestionario autoadministrado. Entre los resultados se encontró que, al relacionarse en grupos organizados, las usuarias aceptan mejor su situación de salud al adquirir un empoderamiento que les ayuda a enfrentar el entorno social, por otra parte, socialmente existe, incluido el sector salud, un sentimiento de rechazo a las personas con esta infección (VIH), conducta que se manifiesta mediante la discriminación. A partir del estudio se concluye que la infección con el virus del VIH está relacionada con aspectos de género (patriarcado), luego, que el contagio está fuertemente determinado por el tipo de comportamiento sexual en cada relación y la cantidad de parejas sexuales; por último, en cuanto a la continuidad de la vida, una vez que se ha contagiado de la enfermedad, el ser portador(a) del virus de VIH/SIDA no es una condición que impida la continuación de los proyectos futuros
