From the Pre-Hispanic Civilization to the Conquest: Great City of Tenochtitlan ("Market At Tenochtitlán"); In Rivera's last years he created a number of murals in Mexico City for public and private buildings. Of these the most notable are the series of frescoes entitled From the Pre-Hispanic Civilization to the Conquest (1945-1951), painted on the walls of the colonnade that surrounds the main courtyard of the Palacio Nacional.
