Cardiovascular disease is the leading causes of death in the developed world. Wall shear stress (WSS) is associated with the initiation and progression of atherogenesis. This study combined the recent advances in MR imaging and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and evaluated the patient-specific carotid bifurcation. The patient was followed up for 3 years.
