This study was carried out to determine the needs of the relatives of critically ill patients who admitted to emergency service and the factors affecting that. Methods: This was a cross-sectional and descriptive study. It was conducted in the emergency service of a state hospital which was among the first 100 hospitals having the highest patient admissions in Turkey. The sample was composed of the relatives of 246 critically ill patients. The data were collected by data collection form that was prepared by the researchers and Turkish version of the Critical Care Family Needs Inventory for Emergency Departments (CCFNI-ED).
