Integration of wind power plants into power systems requires special attention on network planning to reduce curtailed wind energy as well as investment costs and generation costs. To this aim, in this study, transmission expansion planning, reactive power planning, and the allocation of TCSC devices are coordinated in order to minimize investment costs of transmission lines, reactive power sources, and TCSC devices along with the sum of generation costs and penalty for load curtailment. Installed wind power plants are modeled by using load-wind scenarios, which are obtained by clustering procedure.
