The Next Generation Transit Survey (NGTS) is a photometric survey for transiting exoplanets, consisting of twelve identical telescopes. In survey mode, these telescopes act individually, each observing a different field. Recently, however, we have performed several observations in which multiple NGTS telescopes simultansously observe the same target. This observation mode allows the observation of shallow transits of bright stars - we obtain a precision of around 150 ppm per 30 minutes at V=9. This performance rivals that of TESS and much larger ground-based telescopes, and demonstrates some of the many capabilities of NGTS beyond its use as a survey instrument.
