PENINGKATAN KEAKTIFAN BERTANYA MELALUI STRATEGI PEMBELAJARAN CARD SORT PADA SISWA KELAS IV SD NEGERI KARANGASEM II LAWEYAN SURAKARTA TAHUN AJARAN 2014/2015

The objective of this research is to improve asking activity through card sort learning strategy of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Karangasem II Laweyan Surakarta in the academic year of 2014/2015. The form of this research is Classroom Action Research that conducted in two cycles and each cycle consisted of two meet. Each cycle consisted of four phases, namely planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The subjects of this research were the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Karangasem II in the academic year 2014/2015, amounted about 27 students, consists of 10 male students and 17 female students. The techniques of collecting data of this research is observation, interview, questionnaires, and documentation. Testing of the data validity of this research used triangulation of the sources and triangulation of the technical. The techniques of analyzing data used interactive data analysis model (Miles and Huberman) consists of three components, namely data reduction, data display, and conclucion. The result of this research showed that through card sort learning strategy can improve asking activity of the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Karangasem II Laweyan Surakarta in the academic year of 2014/2015. The increase occured from the initial conditions which obtained a classical score of 10 of a maximum score of 630, on the cycle I it increased to 289 of a maximum score of 630. In the cycle II, classical score increased to 526,5 of a maximum score of 630. Can be explained, the percentage of asking activity in the initial conditions was 1,59% of a maximum score of 630, in the cycle I increased to 45,87% of a maximum score of 630 and in the cycle II increased to 83,57% of a maximum score of 630. Therefore the classroom action research indicator 80% of a maximum score of 630 was reached. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that card sort learning strategy can improves asking activity in the fourth grade students of SD Negeri Karangasem II Laweyan Surakarta in the academic year of 2014/2015.
